Raised mostly in Avondale, I left Cincinnati for New York City in 1999 to study English at Barnard College of Columbia University. Bouncing between Harlem, Queens and Brooklyn, I enjoyed the expensive, expansive, diverse and maddening pace of Gotham for 16 wonderful years. I moved back to Cincinnati in 2015 with my husband and our young son. Here in Bond Hill we have found a community that is wonderful in its own right. I decided in 2018 to begin The Bond Hill Journal as a project of sharing images, stories and news in this under-appreciated community.
I work with numbers by day and words by night.
I am a huge fan of smart people so let’s chat. I welcome your comments, questions, corrections, reminiscences and ideas at alexis@bondhilljournal.com .
